Christine Keyes graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 2005. While she participated in their complete Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program, baking was what drew her in the most and it truly has become the sweetest part of her life!
They began working together in 2006 at a mortgage lending company in San Rafael. Due to the “liquidity crisis” of the mortgage industry that began in 2007, these two culinary school graduates began talking about opening up a cupcake business. One week and one late Wednesday night later, Cakes ’n Cups was born! The process of starting their own company has been an incredible learning experience and seeing this amazing dream come to fruition has been the most rewarding experience of their lives. Cupcakes now consume every free minute of their time and they couldn’t be happier sharing the incredible sweetness with all the wonderful people who have supported Cakes ’n Cups!
